시민행정신문 이정하 기자 | 중국 산둥성 제녕시 경제상업대표단이 13~14일 1박 2일 일정으로 우호협력 증진과 산업발전 교류를 위해 영주시를 방문했다. 영주시와 제녕시는 지난 2010년 9월 우호교류협약 체결 이후 상호 간 경제, 교육, 청소년, 문화, 예술 교류를 지속적으로 진행해 왔다. 이화광 제녕시 인민정부외사판공실 부주임을 단장으로 한 이번 제녕시 대표단의 방문은 코로나19 확산으로 2019년 이후 4년 만에 이뤄졌다. 이번 방문을 기점으로 양 도시 간의 우호교류가 본격적으로 재개될 전망이다. 방문 첫날인 13일에는 양 도시의 우호협력 관계를 증진을 위한 환영 행사에 이어 경제산업간담회에서 시는 영주상공회의소와 함께 산업현황, 기업지원 시책, 첨단베어링 국가산단 마스터플랜 등 그간의 성과와 경쟁력을 소개하는 시간을 가졌다. 대표단은 방문 이틀째인 14일에는 산삼배양근을 이용한 바이오기업 ㈜비트로시스와 베어링 산업의 중추적인 역할을 담당하는 하이테크베어링시험평가센터와 ㈜삼호엔지니어링을 시찰하며 영주시 산업 현황을 살펴본다. 시는 방문단을 통해 적극적인 기업유치 활동을 진행하고 산업발전을 위한 다방면의 산업교류를 진행할 계획이다.
