Jeju Mayor Kang meets with a delegation from Laocheng District, Luoyang City, China

Mayor Kang Byung-sam attends the China-Japan Friendship Night event

Jeju City Mayor Kang Byung-sam welcomed a delegation from Laocheng Distrcit, Luoyang City, China, to Jeju at his office and held a meeting to discuss ways to promote exchange and cooperation between the two cities on Oct. 10.

 

The meeting was organized to further develop the friendly atmosphere with Luoyang City, which visited Jeju to participate in the 62nd Tamra Cultural Festival.

 

 

In particular, they explored ways to revitalize various exchanges in the field of culture and arts on the occasion of the Tamra Cultural Festival.

 

"Mutual respect and cooperation are necessary for the further development and prosperity of both cities," said Jeju City Mayor Kang, adding, "Let's make efforts to develop into closer neighbors through active cultural exchanges between Jeju City and Luoyang City."

 

 

Meanwhile, Jeju City Mayor Kang Byung-sam thanked the officials of the Korea-China Friendship Association for providing an opportunity for communication and meeting at the Friendship Night event held at the Campus Tree Hotel banquet hall on Oct. 9.

 

At the event, Consul General Wang Ruxin of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Jeju, Chinese art troupes participating in the 62nd Tamra Cultural Festival, and Jeju cultural and artistic figures attended the event and had a time of communication and harmony with each other.

 

In his congratulatory remarks, Jeju City Mayor Kang said, "Jeju and China are close neighbors, with more than 20 cities currently engaged in active exchange activities, and we look forward to working together for peaceful coexistence and sustainable growth."
