Diplomacy Journal, founded in 1996, celebrates its 28th anniversary

Diplomacy Journal, a window to communicate with the world in Korean and English

UNJournal Kayla Lee | Diplomacy Journal, founded in 1996, is celebrating its 28th anniversary. Over the past 28 years, Diplomacy Journal has been at the forefront of documenting the flow of international diplomacy and promoting cooperation and cultural exchanges between countries, and now aims to further develop as a global diplomatic journal.

Over the years, Diplomacy Journal has provided readers with insightful information through in-depth coverage of a variety of topics, including interviews with foreign ambassadors, international foreign policy analysis, economic trends, and cultural exchanges.

In particular, it has contributed to the development of diplomatic relations and cooperation between countries by featuring the voices of diplomats and policymakers. Through its Korean and English editions, the journal provides diplomatic and cultural information from around the world to domestic readers, and serves as a bridge to overseas readers to convey Korea's diplomatic stance and the importance of international cooperation.

For its 28th anniversary, Diplomacy Journal plans to further strengthen its coverage of not only diplomatic news but also cultural exchanges and tourist destinations in each country. Cultural exchanges are not just about cooperation between countries, but are an important factor in building understanding and bonds between people.

As such, we will provide a variety of content to help more readers get to know the cultures of other countries around the world by highlighting traditional arts, food, festivals, and cultural events of each country in depth. We will also contribute to the revitalization of international tourism exchanges by discovering and introducing major tourist destinations and hidden spots in each country.

In doing so, we will strengthen our content to provide Koreans with information on traveling abroad and foreigners visiting Korea with information on the beauty of Korea.

In the rapidly changing media environment, Diplomacy Journal plans to actively introduce various platforms such as digital media, multimedia content, and interactive discussions to communicate with more readers. In particular, we will expand interviews with foreign ambassadors to quickly and accurately convey the foreign policy and cultural values of each country to broaden understanding between countries and emphasize the importance of international cooperation.

“Diplomacy Journal has been serving as a bridge for diplomacy and cultural exchange for the past 28 years, and we will continue to be more than just a news outlet, but an important platform connecting Korea and the rest of the world. We will contribute to promoting international cooperation and mutual understanding by featuring the voices of diplomats and policymakers from around the world, and we will make further progress together with our readers. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all those who have supported us so far as we celebrate our 28th anniversary.”
