시민행정신문 이정하 기자 | “변화를 향한 믿음, 함께 만들어 가는 국민 안전을 지향”하는 법무부 광주지방교정청(청장 김동현)은 10월 26일 오전 10시 광주송정역 야외 광장에서 광주고등검찰청 검사장 등 광주지역 유관 기관장과 교정 관련 인사 등이 참석한 가운데 제52회 교정작품전시회 개관식을 열어 3일 동안 진행된다. 1962년 덕수궁 전시회 이후 52회를 맞이하는 교정작품전시회는 수형자들이 새 삶을 향한 의지로 틈틈이 땀 흘려 익혀온 기량을 발휘해 제작한 교도작업 작품과 문예 작품을 비롯해 교정공무원과 교정위원들의 문예 작품 등 171점(수량 687개)을 감상할 수 있다. 또한 개관식 사전공연으로 조선대학교 풍물패 연합 사물놀이, 광주예술중고등학교 국악과 남도민요 공연이 준비되어 있으며, 부대행사로 교정관련 기념품 증정, 교도관 제복 및 수용자복을 입어보는 보라미 패션체험전, 페이스페인팅 등 다채로운 행사가 준비되어 있어 교정의 색다른 모습을 느껴보는 계기가 될 것이다. 더불어 전시장 입·출구 주변 및 중앙에 교정시설의 수형자가 한땀 한땀 재배한 분재작, 조형작 등 95점의 국화가 함께 전시되어 찾아오는 시민들에 마음에 흔들리지 않는 희망의 기운과 가슴
